We are welcoming Sarah and Maya to our artslink site! They have been working hard to upload all of the photos of their Giacometti sculptures - take a look at their awesome slideshow! We want to thank them for their great effort and look forward to their future ideas. They will leave comments on the blog to update you.

Our site is growing...we've added a mixed media page and a multimedia page to represent a greater variety of projects and ideas.
Our current class project is related to the theme of exclusion. Using mixed media, we are representing our individual perspectives on the theme. Some people have focused on the darker side of exclusion, some show the potential and possibility of moving toward inclusion, and some show that solitude isn't the same as exclusion.
We'd like to hear from you, and have you send some links to your work, so that we can feature it on the site.

Brand New

We've just lauched our new website artslink. It's a student-managed website where creative students can share ideas, projects and techniques. 
We are all doing a lot of learning together, figuring out how to build a website, add text and images, attach a blog to the site.
JV has been really busy today, uploading photos of selections from a figure drawing project in our class. Also, there have been additions to the photography page - a passion for JV.
There's so much more coming:
-links to other student websites about art and creativity
-sculpture inspired by Giacometti
-individual projects shared by creative students in the WCDSB
-comments, stories and suggestions from creative students in the WCDSB
We're not sure how this will all turn out, but we're excited by the possibilities and the potential.
